Fall 2024 Soccer Registration Youth Girls and Boys
All returning and new Jackson Fury players must register for the Fall 2024 Outdoor Soccer season! The Fall season starts July 29 and runs through October 27. NEW PLAYERS ARE WELCOME! Elementary school players, grades 2 to 5, will be assigned to an age appropriate team regardless of prior experience. Basic and advanced soccer skills will be coached. New middle school players, grades 6 to 8, are encouraged to give the club a try by attending a training session for their age group. New middle school players normally have several years of recreational soccer experience and make the transition smoothly. In the past, all players who completed the registration process prior to the deadline have been placed on teams but, occasionally, some new players drop-out. Practices and games will be coached by the club's professional coaching staff with an emphasis on player development. Several levels of play are offered:
- TRAVEL TEAMS: ALL youth players will be assigned to a Travel level team that plays in the OHTSL (Ohio Travel Soccer League). The OHTSL soccer teams compete against many of the community soccer clubs in the greater Cleveland, Akron, and Canton area. OHTSL games are mostly on Sunday afternoons with an occasional late Sunday morning game start or a weeknight game. Travel level teams have two 90-minute practices each week.
- PREMIER TEAMS: Select youth players and teams will also play in the Cleveland Alliance Soccer Association's Alliance Premier Soccer League (APSL). Youth players are selected and invited to play based solely on the Jackson Fury Director of Coach's recommendation. Unless players have prior premier experience, they will be required to play one or two sessions on their age group travel team before consideration for a premier team. The APSL teams compete against the best clubs and teams in Northern Ohio and Western PA. APSL outdoor games are typically on Saturdays near Lodi, Ohio. Premier level teams have one 90-minute practice each week in addition to their travel team practices.
Soccer Age Requirements: All players must satisfy the following age brackets for the 2024-2025 Soccer Year:

NOTE: Players born in 2017 who are in the 1st grade for the 2024-2025 school year are eligible to play on a travel soccer team. Boys and girls born in 2018 to 2021 are too young for Jackson Fury youth travel soccer and are encouraged to participate in the Jackson Fury Kidz soccer program.
