U11 Classic 1 Division Fall 2006 Champions and Finalists

The Jackson Fury U11 Storm, wearing the red champion t-shirt, completed the Fall 2006 GAASA season with a 5-2-1 record and in second place in the U11 Girls Classic 1 division.  The Jackson Fury U11 Bears, wearing the white finalist t-shirt, completed the Fall season with a 3-4-1 record and captured the fourth seed in the playoffs with a tie-breaker.  In the semifinal round, the Fury U11 Bears upset the regular season champion Medina Lady Knights 2-1 and the Fury U11 Storm defeated the third place team from Green 5-2.

While both teams had qualified for the playoffs previously and each claimed a championship in the previous two seasons, this was the first time that they faced each other in the division finals.  In the end, the Jackson Fury Bears won a close 2-1 game to claim the championship.  However, as their picture shows, all of the Jackson Fury U11 players were winners.
