2012 Spring Soccer Registration
UPDATE Feb 5, 2012:
High School girls team registration
remains open but the remaining roster spots are filling quickly. Register
early to avoid being closed out!
Most Spring youth Jackson Fury team rosters are at or near their roster limit but late registrations are being accepted to fill
those remaining roster openings. Please contact Tom Strock
with your daughter's name and birth date to check for roster
openings. If roster openings exist, they will only be filled upon
receipt of the necessary registration paperwork and fees. The necessary
paperwork can be downloaded below. NOTE: Incomplete registrations
can not be accepted and will be returned. We can not hold a roster spot until
all paperwork is received. Late registration fees apply according to the
registration instructions and must be paid. Please follow the instructions carefully.

Jackson Fury is now accepting registrations for the Spring 2012 Soccer Season which will start
March 26 and run through June 3, 2012.
NEW PLAYERS ARE WELCOME! Elementary
school, grades 1 to 5, players may simply register regardless of prior
playing experience. Basic and advanced soccer skills will be
coached. New middle school, grades
6 to 8, players are encouraged to give the
club a try by attending a training session for their age group before
registering. New middle school players normally have several years of recreational soccer
experience and make the transition smoothly. In the past, all players who
completed the registration process prior to the deadline have been placed on
teams but, occasionally, some new players drop-out. If parents are
uncertain, please contact Tom Strock
to schedule an opportunity to give the club a try.
Practices and games will be coached by the club's
professional coaching staff with an emphasis on player development. Two levels of play will be offered:
Competitive, in the Greater Akron Amateur Soccer Association (GAASA), and
Premier, in the Alliance Premier Soccer League (APSL). For the Spring 2012 season, ALL players will be assigned to
a competitive level GAASA team. The
GAASA teams start at the U8 age group
and compete against many of the community soccer clubs within 30 miles of
Akron. GAASA first and second division games are mostly on Sunday
afternoons with a
few weeknight games and GAASA lower division games are on Saturday afternoons. Select players and teams will also play in
the APSL based on the Jackson Fury Director of Coach's recommendation. The APSL teams start at the U10 age
group and compete against the best youth teams in Northeast Ohio. APSL Games are typically on Saturdays in Lodi.
Estimated youth player fees are approximately:
- $ 150.00 to $ 175.00 for league, team, registration, and coach fees for
each assigned team
(Note: New competitive players will only be assigned
to one team for their first season.)
- $ 70.00 uniform (new players only)
- $ 15.00 (prorated from $20.00) Jackson Fury Membership fee for new
Spring 2012 players
Fee estimates are based on actual expenses for the 2011 Spring and Fall season.
Final fees will be based on
actual league fees, tournaments, and coaching expenses and are
equally divided among all participants. A $100.00 deposit is
required with the
player registration and the final fees, less deposits paid, will be invoiced and
due in April 2012.

Step 2 - ALL players must register by
Feb 4, 2012. Late registrations including a Late Fee
will be accepted after Feb 4. After Feb 4, registrations will only be accepted to fill open team roster spots.

Step 3 - Player
Preparation: Elementary school, grades 2 to 5, players
should simply register. New middle school, grades 6 to 8, players are encouraged to tryout Jackson
Fury by attending an indoor practice with their age group.
This will afford players an opportunity to meet their
future teammates, coaches, managers, and experience a typical training
session. In the past, all players completing
the registration process by the published deadline have been assigned to teams.
The club endeavors to place all players on age and skill
appropriate teams to foster individual and team development goals. Please contact Tom
Strock with the player's birth date to schedule an appointment to attend
a practice.

Registration Form and Fee Deposit should be mailed or dropped off in the

A late fee
will be required for all registrations received after Feb 4, 2012 as
follows: after Feb 4, 2012 until Feb 25, 2012, $10.00 late fee; after Feb 25,
2012, $25.00.
